Chris Hunt stepped up from the world of fanzines to take charge of (and write much of) this pilot rock magazine for the Cambridge-based Music Maker Publications. The one issue under his editorship sold 60,000 copies. When approached by MMP managing director Terry Day and asked to launch Solid Rock, Chris announced that “as a mod“ it was his “ultimate ambition to launch a heavy metal magazine“. The irony was missed and Chris got ready to rock!
